Intercontinental Cup Tour, Race #4

The New Year has started off very well with a bronze medal at the Canadian Championships in early January, followed by my second win on the Intercontinental Cup Tour in Park City, UT. I couldn’t be more pleased with this performance last weekend especially because I was fighting such a bad cold for the majority of the week.

Another podium finish for Alcock!

It was a wet week in Bavaria, Germany and most of our sliding sessions were held during some good downpours. Those are the days when you wished you had windshield wipers on the helmet visor!

Alcock Wins First International Race Since January 2004!

Torino, Italy – December 2, 2007
Intercontinental Cup Tour, Race #1

Our team of six athletes, two coaches, and one chiropractor started off the three week Intercontinental Skeleton tour by staying overnight in Baden-Baden, Germany before the ten hour drive to Torino, Italy. We decided to experience the great Roman baths that Baden-Baden has to offer. These thermal baths have been around for hundreds of years and the architecture of the building itself was simply stunning. We all pampered ourselves in a three hour spa experience which is a pretty rare treat. It really was a great way to get over jet-lag though!
